Czech Republic

The Czech Republic is a beautiful country in Eastern Europe. Due to several factors including the Communist movement the country is over 90% atheist. Since 2001 FCC has conducted cheerleading camps in the Czech Republic. The number of participants has increased from 76 the first year to over 300 at the two camps, two stunt and tumbling clinics, and the coach’s conference. Each year the instructors have seen an increase in love between campers and instructors, improvement in their cheerleading skills, as well as a greater acceptance of the gospel. Some staffers have even had the privilege of praying the prayer of salvation with some of the campers. The lives of many staff members have also been greatly impacted by the miraculous things that God is doing in that country.

Croatia

The country of Croatia boarders the lovely Adriatic Sea. The people have the reputation of being “More Catholic than the Pope” In many situations in which religion is emphasized more than a relationship with God, people can become numb to the gospel. God has allowed FCC staffers to teach camps in Croatia since 2006 with the goal of challenging the campers to develop a personal relationship with God. The number of campers has nearly doubled since that first camp. The staff has not only had the opportunity to witness to the cheerleaders, but also to several other people in the community including several neighborhood children who come to watch the camp.

Slovenia

The country of Slovenia is a wonderful place. Our camp site is just off the Adriatic Sea and the country itself is bordered on all sides. To the West is Italy East is Hungary, to the North is Austria, and to the South is Croatia. It was about 3 years ago we were able to see how a camp specifically in Slovenia would work, and it was great! In the past few years we have been able to grow from a regular cheer camp to having a full out Dance and Cheer camp where we have had Nationals from Slovenia help demonstrate and instruct with our FCC team. What an amazing opportunity to outreach with our brothers and sisters overseas. Just like the other camps you will see an impact in your life as well as our campers. We have also been apart of watching our relationships grow in the community. What a great opportunity to outreach as He calls us to move and go forth, one step at a time.
